Overview

An Immersive Art Experience Honoring Mental Health, Healing, and Human Resilience

Join us this First Thursday for MindFULLness, an immersive art exhibition honoring Mental Health Awareness Month. This experience invites you beyond observation—into reflection, restoration, and renewal. Rather than focusing on darkness, mindFULLness illuminates the emotional journey, encouraging you to move through life with intention and embrace the fullness of what it means to be human.

Through thoughtfully curated artwork, this exhibition explores the landscapes we all navigate—moments of overwhelm, transitions of growth, and the quiet resilience it takes to keep going. Each piece creates space to pause, to feel, and to reconnect with yourself in a way that is both grounding and empowering.

Set within an atmosphere of creativity and calm, guests will experience a blend of visual storytelling, meaningful conversation, and intentional connection. mindFULLness is not just an exhibition—it is a gentle disruption of silence around mental health, a reminder that awareness, presence, and care are essential to our well-being.

Hosted by V1019's Flyty and Jacinda at Christian Jacobs Salon Suites in Gastonia. This special edition is inspired by great music, signature sips, and art, curated by Dr. Monique Stubbs.

What to Expect at May’s First Thursdays: MindFULLness Edition

  • A MindFULLness–Inspired Atmosphere: Step into a space rooted in creativity and blooming with joy. Enjoy upbeat, empowering music that fills the room with radiant energy — the kind that gives you that glow-from-within feeling and keeps the vibes high all night long.

  • Curated Signature Cocktails: Sip on handcrafted signature cocktails prepared by our featured on-site bartender. Each pour is thoughtfully crafted to complement the evening’s elevated yet welcoming experience.

  • A Revolving Art Gallery Experience: Not your typical mixer or networking event. A curated collection of artwork exploring the full spectrum of human emotion and growth — with select pieces available for purchase.

  • A peaceful, intentional environment designed to help you slow down, reflect, and reconnect

  • Opportunities for authentic conversation and community connection across generations

  • A meaningful reminder to honor, nurture, and celebrate mental health in all its forms

First Thursdays features a rotating art residency of local artists. If you are an artist, we invite you to come and meet our curator, Dr. Monique Stubbs.
