Featured Artists for July
Cynthia Downes— A self-taught artist whose creative journey began at the tender age of three. Starting with humble pencil sketches, she developed a passion for form and color, which blossomed into watercolor and, later, acrylic painting. By the age of 11, she was captivated by the work of Michelangelo, whose mastery became her lifelong inspiration. Over the years, Cynthia’s dedication to her craft led her to teach art for 11 years in the public school system, sharing her love for creativity with countless students. Today, her vibrant acrylic works continue to explore the human spirit, inviting viewers to connect through color, depth, and personal storytelling.
